Susan has proudly called Belmont, North Carolina home for over 60 years. Deeply rooted in her community, she values the relationships and connections she has built throughout her life. Susan has been married to her high school sweetheart and best friend, Mark, for 40 years. Together, they have raised four children—Alicia, David, Jennifer, and Thomas—and are now the proud grandparents of three cherished grandchildren: Nathan, Kennedy Ruth, and Riley Faye. Family is at the heart of everything Susan does. She treasures time spent with her children and grandchildren, creating lasting memories and enjoying life’s simple moments together.

Outside of work, Susan enjoys vacationing at the beach, spending time outdoors, and caring for her three chocolate Labrador retrievers—Buttercup, Sugar, and Major. She has a true passion for gardening and finds joy in sharing her harvest with neighbors and friends. Susan’s life reflects her commitment to family, community, and the simple joys that bring people together.
